When you see that word, what comes up for you?
Does it automatically make you sad?
Does it take you immediately to a time in your life that was horrible?
Does it wrap its arms around you and pull you deep into a pit?
Or is it just a neutral word to you now because you’ve done the work to make it so?
Depression is something that I struggled with on and off throughout my childhood (to the point of attempted suicide on more than one occasion) and into my 40s. About 10 years ago I began getting a handle on it and I can now say that I have complete control over it. I’ve had a few family members, friends and clients that have struggled through it as well. I didn’t realize however, just how BIG this is until I released a 20 minute audio at the end of 2013 on Depression and Anxiety.
(If you would like a free copy of the audio and booklet, you can get it at the bottom of this page.)
The response was overwhelming! I received so many emails and phone calls from people that told me how much this helped them. I was flabbergasted! For when you suffer from this, you feel like you are the only one and absolutely no one else on the planet could possible understand what you are feeling.
I realized, from the response I received, that almost everyone is attacked by this at one point or another at some level. I started thinking about what helped me tackle this monster that at one time could control my entire life just by its existence. And I decided that I want to commit to helping everyone that is ready to confront this once and for all.
If you know me at all, you know my philosophy on illness, including, but not limited to, depression. I will tell you that although anti-depressants may indeed help the symptoms, that they are only a Band-Aid. And after a while the Band-Aid falls off to reveal that we didn’t really take care of this fully and now it is infected.
And what more proof of that is there than the fact that they now have created MORE drugs to take on top of these anti-depressants when they stop working. I was dumbfounded when I looked up a list of anti-depressants to find there are more than 40 of them on the market! What?

The above list also does not contain the many generics or anti-psychotic drugs that some doctors may have gifted you with. And some of these are being given to children! That scares the hell out of me! Society is telling us to medicate and “dumb down” our kids in order to create a more harmonious world. What are they thinking?
So here is what I want to say about this. Your body is a barometer. Pure and simple. When something needs healing for your soul, so you can move forward and get more aligned with your divine path, it shows up in your body in physical form. ALWAYS. This is what the body is for. Headaches, arthritis, cancer – basically any and all illness or disease – is just your soul calling for healing. And if you are aware of this, it CAN and WILL be healed.
You’ve heard the phrase “God never gives you more than you can handle” right? Well, when it is time, it will show up. And when it shows up – that is when you can “handle” it. You just need to be aware of what it is and not be scared. It’s the fear that gets us and creates the struggle. If we can get past that, then we are home free on the healing end!
Acknowledge the fear, accept it and move through it. Find a gentle, loving therapist, counselor or coach that can help you put the fear aside and walk you past it where you will find health, happiness and vitality. I know this is possible because I have done it personally. And I have taken the hands of many clients and done the same for them.
If you, or someone you know is suffering right now with depression or anxiety, I invite you to download the 20 minute audio and booklet at the bottom of this page. It’s totally free! I have had an enormous amount of feedback saying that this 20 minute process opened up and helped so many people!
If after listening to the audio, you discover that depression, anxiety or any other illness or disease is robbing you of your life, I invite you to take the first step and schedule a session with me. You will, at the very least, gain a new perspective on why this is happening to you now in your life and where to begin your healing journey. I’ve regained control of my health and happiness and want you to also. I promise you, the struggling and suffering we encounter on this life journey is always optional!
