Your Perfect Day

One of the meditative journeys I like to take clients through I call “Your Perfect Day”. There are different underlying reasons why I may take someone through this, but whatever the reason, it produces the same outcome. Raising your vibration.

Raising your vibration is important for many reasons. It will help keep your immune system functioning properly, it will keep “beings” with a lower vibrational frequency away from you, it makes you feel happy, can change the direction that illness is traveling in your body and is the first step in manifestation. Basically, having a high vibration makes you feel really good!

Want to give it a try? Well then keep reading! ….

First just find yourself a nice, calm, quiet space away from electronics or anything distracting. You can spend as much or as little time on this as you want, but the more in depth you go and the more you can see and feel each little step, the better you will feel. And the better you feel is the impetus for this to all become a reality for you.

So just close your eyes and get really comfortable. You don’t have to go deep into a meditative state for this, just take a couple deep clearing breaths until you feel relaxed. Let your breaths wash away any tension, anxiety or negative feelings you may be holding onto from the day.

When you feel relaxed, begin by imagining yourself waking up in the morning, just opening your eyes. Take a look around. Where are you? What do you see as soon as you open your eyes? Are you looking out a window with the sun coming in, is it snowing, are there mountains, trees, a river? The whole idea for this exercise is to make it YOUR perfect day, so imagine it exactly as you wish it to be.

If you are looking out a window, are there window coverings? Drapes, blinds? What color and texture are they? Imagine every little detail. Now look around and see your room. If you are in a bedroom, what does the furniture look like? What about the bedspread and the colors of the walls. Are there pictures on the walls or trinkets on a dresser? Is there anyone in bed next to you? What do they look like, what are they doing right now?

Then step onto your floor as you get up for the day. Is it hardwood, carpet? What color or tone? What are you wearing and where are you going? Into your bathroom, into your kitchen? What does it look like, describe every little detail in your mind. See it all. Is someone fixing breakfast for you? Are you fixing breakfast for someone else? Or a lot of someone else’s? Can you smell the food? Is your mouth watering? Is there a pet that needs to eat?

Continue on as long as you want just basking in every detail – feel all the feelings associated with all the details. Is your tea water heating up? Do you have glasses on that fog as you look into it? Keep going with your imagination.

Then take yourself through your entire day EXACTLY as you would want your perfect day to be. Are you going to work or to yoga or to volunteer? What are you driving? What color is your car, what type, what kind of interior? Are you listening to music in your car? What songs are playing? What do the streets you are traveling on look like? Arrive at your destination and take yourself through your time there the same way you were imagining everything else – with clear visualization and feelings.

Finish your day with evening entertainment, friends, reading a book, watching TV, eating dinner or whatever other activities excite you. Taste the foods you are eating throughout the day, keep checking the weather and what it looks like outside and inside where you are. What are you wearing? What does your hair look like, who are you with? How happy are they and how grateful are they that you are there making a difference in their day? Keep imagining it all!

After you are done with an entire day, you may want to think about what you are doing tomorrow (in your perfect world) and lay out your plans. What time you have to leave the house tomorrow, what to wear, pack your gym bag, whatever you need to do for your perfect day #2.

When you are done with this exercise, look around in your world right now and see what little changes you can make to boost your life forward towards this perfect life. Maybe go buy those window coverings you imagined when you first woke up. Be grateful for the things that you imagined that you may already have. Perhaps you imagined your current spouse lying in bed with you, or a pet you already share your days with, or maybe you already have a job you love, or possibly that car you were driving is already in your garage. Great start! FEEL grateful for all of this. And then say “thank you, what else?” You are asking to be shown your next steps with that statement. Pay attention to what shows up in the next few days after you ask that question. You may be surprised at how easy it is!

I believe in the “Ask and ye shall receive” theory. You just have to ask the right questions! And the first one is “thank you, what else?” Give it a try and let me know how this works for you in the comments below!
