I had the most interesting conversation with my husband last night!
First a little background on my husband; as I’ve known for a long time my husband is a natural healer, I convinced him to attend the last Reiki Master Workshop I taught. He is now attuned to Reiki III – Master Level and I must say he is actually pretty darn good and I am thoroughly enjoying his new skill!
He is also a musician AND hard of hearing. So last night we were talking about the chakras and how we determine in intuitive energy healing what chakras are out of alignment or unbalanced in the body. I told him that I immediately see a highlighted area on the body and that is where I start. Once I’m there on the body I can feel into the core issue that is causing this imbalance and begin working with the client to realign their energy to clear away what isn’t serving them in their life.
He told me that he actually can hear where the body is out of balance! I reminded him that there is a musical note associated with each chakra as well. He told me he realized that it is just like tuning a guitar and that when a note was off, trying to play a sweet melody did not sound so sweet.
As I am not a musician, this way of performing an energy reading or a Reiki session was something I was not aware of and this excited me! He literally listens to the body as if it were a musical instrument! And the fact that he is very hard of hearing also reminded me how much we are guided by our inner intuition and our dominant intuitive style (seeing, hearing, feeling, knowing…)
So if you think about how a guitar sounds when not tuned, you can now imagine how your chakras – your receivers of life force energy – cannot function properly if not tuned up, and how there will be a breakdown in your system if they are not balanced and aligned.
This reminded me that no matter how we get to the determining factor of what is not aligned in your body, once we can bring awareness to it than the healing begins. We can then look at the rest of your body and see where other chakras may be over or under compensating and bring everything back into alignment with Reiki and/or a little coaching.
Things that can cause imbalance in your system are your beliefs, trauma – either recent or early childhood trauma, unhealthy eating or addictions and that will eventually manifest as illness and disease in the body. Once we address these and tune it up the melody in your life will be sweeter and make more sense.
That is why I highly recommend if you take a Reiki class – either mine or someone else’s – that you also take some kind of additional Intuitive Training to determine your dominant intuitive style and learn how to use all of your intuitive gifts to be the best Reiki practitioner or energy healer you can be.
If you’re interested in becoming a Reiki Master, Nicole Walsh and I are teaching our next Reiki Master Workshop September 13-15. We are also having an intensive Intuitive Development Retreat in Leavenworth, Washington in October. If you are interested in either one of these you can get more information here on the website. And if you just enjoy receiving Reiki or energy healing treatments we both offer those as well.
So just be aware that each practitioner works differently whether with their Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Claircognizance or a combination of these. You can, and probably will, have a completely different experience each time. Your body is always changing and your chakras are always in flux. Keep it tuned up and keep your melody sweet!
I’d love to hear from you! How does your body communicate with you? Do you know how to “listen” or do you use the services of others when you feel off? Let me know in the comments below!
Sure glad my guitar is “in tune”!!! Very interesting article, Laurie. I LOVE your web-site/newsletter! And I LOVE YOU!! Mom
Awwww, thanks Mom! I’m appreciative and grateful for you support!
